New Web Site Is Here - Whoo Hoo!!

I am excited to announce that our new website has launched. Whoo hoo!!

One month of planning and two months of development have resulted in a beautiful and simple site.

If you tried to find The UnCommon Journey the past few days, you found that something was up. You saw: “The UnCommon Journey is changing – check back soon.”

Well, “check back soon” is NOW!

Here’s the change —

We have one website that includes three aspects of what we do. Yes, three in one!

Here are some reasons for the change:

1. With the growth of Homestead House, Inc., we need to provide a better picture of what we’re about.

The new website clearly shows the three dimensions of our online work –

The UnCommon Journey

You can access each of these sites from our new site with a click of your mouse.

2. The change is due to the discontinuing of the WordPress platform theme which I had been using for The UnCommon Journey.

I want to provide something much more stable and fresh. The company I work with, Jonesen, has promised a reliable and safe platform. They continually curate the site to keep it current.

3. To be honest, I want to get my mug off the front page.

This site is not about me. It’s about your journey with God and my companionship with you. Obviously, I’m involved in writing the content and determining the direction of the site. But, my purpose is your spiritual good.

What brings you back to The UnCommon Journey is your interest in bolstering your unique relationship with God. God has you on a special journey that not everyone can understand, even your closest Christian friends. But, I encourage and challenge you to keep stepping forward by participating in the life of the Triune God.

There is nothing greater on earth than experiencing ongoing communion with God. Yet, few Christians know what this kind of life is about.

You are being invited into that kind of life. I’m here, as a fellow-traveller, to accompany you on your journey.

For those of you walking the UnCommon Journey, you will still receive the challenging content you’ve come to expect.

All that’s changed is the packaging, the look. I’ll still be encouraging you to commune with God, challenging the status quo, praying for you, and struggling on my own journey while writing about it for your sake.
